Welcome to the Ride 4 a Woman (R4W)'s website. We hope you will also visit us in Bwindi National Park to rent one of our bicycles and even join us on one of our incredible bike tours through the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Buhoma, Uganda. By simply renting a bike and even joining one of our tours, you will be supporting our work to empower women in this area.
The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to most of the world’s Mountain Gorillas. Imagine riding through their home. Ride 4 a Woman makes this possible with our MOUNTAIN BIKING opportunities in the forest giving you the chance to view MOUNTAIN GORILLAS plus different animals and birds from a bike.
But there is much more to your bike ride. While riding one of our rental bikes you are changing a generation of women members in the community of Buhoma. All the proceeds from this activity go to support the local women of Buhoma by providing them with new career skills like fabric making,craft making, bicycle repair, and learning English.
On your next trip to trek gorillas or to bird watch in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park please make sure to stop by the R4W BIKE STAND or pass by the Bwindi Women’s Community Centre and learn to make a piece of fabric in minutes or have a cloth made for you.
